Borussia Dortmund fans hit out at Arsenal transfer target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during Freiburg game

Borussia Dortmund fans have reportedly unveiled a banner hitting out at Arsenal transfer target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during today’s game against Freiburg.

The Gabon international has been strongly linked by various outlets with a move to the Emirates Stadium this January, and it seems fans are not happy with him.

Aubameyang sat out a recent game for Dortmund as speculation was going on, but he’s playing today in what could be his final Bundesliga appearance.

Sky Germany suggest Dortmund want the player gone, and it seems as though his relationship with the supporters may also be beyond repair now.

According to the Metro, fans have today unveiled a banner aimed at Aubameyang, stating ‘no player is bigger than the club’.

Their report also quotes Dortmund chief Michael Zorc opening the door for the 28-year-old to seal his move to the Emirates Stadium as long as the price was right.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could seal a transfer to Arsenal this January

‘We are prepared to implement a transfer under certain parameters – but only if these parameters are fully met,’ Zorc said in an official club statement.

‘Arsenal has started several attempts so far. We have all rejected so far. Either our demands are fulfilled, then there can be another transfer or else they will not be fulfilled and Auba will play in Dortmund until the summer, so it is also discussed and accepted by the Aubameyang family.’

Arsenal look in urgent need of signings up front before the transfer window closes due to the loss of Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United and the poor form of Alexandre Lacazette in attack.
