Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been pictured in an Arsenal kit for the first time, with various images showing up on Twitter of the club’s record signing.
Arsenal’s official site confirmed the deal this morning for an undisclosed fee, but mentioned it was a club-record purchase.
Gooners will be delighted to see such a big name come in after the devastating blow of losing Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United this January.
Aubameyang scored a superb 141 goals in 213 games during his time as a Borussia Dortmund player, establishing himself as one of the most prolific forwards in Europe.
The Gabon international should prove a major upgrade on Alexandre Lacazette, who has not managed to get going at the Emirates Stadium since his summer switch from Lyon.
Aubameyang’s squad number has not yet been announced, but Arsenal fans can still enjoy these pictures of the 28-year-old posing in red and white for the first time.
