Aston Villa’s Twitter admin team have won the internet on deadline day after releasing this hilarious announcement video for Lewis Grabban.
The Championship giants have landed the Bournemouth striker on loan for the rest of the season, with Steve Bruce seemingly looking for additional firepower to ensure that they secure promotion this year.
Villa currently sit in third place in the standings, just a point adrift of second-place Derby County as they try to chase down their rivals and grab that second automatic promotion spot.
Robert Snodgrass scored a late winner at Sheffield United on Tuesday night to make it five consecutive wins, and now it looks as though the Villa faithful have another reason to be happy.
Grabban has had previous spells with Bournemouth, Norwich City, Reading and Sunderland, scoring 12 goals in 20 appearances with the latter though the first half of the campaign.
With that spell coming to a premature end, he’ll now look to help Aston Villa get back into the Premier League, and if they’re as good as their social media team, they’re already on the way.
Credit to CEO Keith Wyness for getting involved, as Villa have seemingly taken the announcements game to the next level with their ‘Alexa’ inspired effort. Love it or hate it? It made us chuckle…
