Arsenal’s decision to sell Olivier Giroud hasn’t gone down well with supporters, as seen in the reaction below following confirmation of his move to Chelsea.
As per Chelsea’s official club site, the Frenchman has put pen to paper on an 18-month deal to join up with Antonio Conte’s side at Stamford Bridge.

It ends a six-year spell with Arsenal, during which the 31-year-old scored 105 goals in 253 games for the Gunners and won three FA Cups.
While the disappointment of losing him, to a rival no less, will undoubtedly be overshadowed by the signings of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan this month which arguably make Arsenal a better side, it’s still a heavy blow for the fans below.
Giroud is a significant loss given that he is a key option off the bench, offering a different dynamic in attack with his physicality, aerial strength and ability to build attacks and hold up the ball.
In turn, it remains to be seen whether or not Arsenal live to regret the decision to allow him to leave, although from the Frenchman’s perspective, he’ll surely have been desperate to earn regular playing and that’s not something he’s likely to get at the Emirates with Alexandre Lacazette and Aubameyang now ahead of him in the pecking order.
Still, it doesn’t make his departure any easier for this group of supporters…

He isn’t a Van Persie, isn’t a Nasri, isn’t a Fabregas, isn’t a Sanchez. He is Olivier Giroud. One of us. Will be one of us no matter where he plays. We love you Olivier.
