The wife of Riyad Mahrez issued an angry tweet as she weighed in on the speculation linking her husband with a move to Manchester City from Leicester City.
Mahrez had been linked with a sensational last-minute deadline day move to Manchester City but the deal appeared to stall with Leicester slapping an extortionate price-tage on Mahrez amid the interest from Man City and Pep Guardiola.
A report from the Guardian suggested that upon receiving Man City’s initial £65m offer for Mahrez, the Foxes increased the winger’s asking price to £95m. City and Guardiola then ended their interest in the star.
Rita Mahrez then took to twitter to offer her opinion on the debacle.
Rita tweeted ‘Let him go ! Let him go !’ before quickly deleting her tweet.

It appears that Mahrez will remain a Leicester player for at least another six months despite today’s last minute speculation linking him with a move away.
