Manchester United ready to pay whatever it takes for £88million Liverpool transfer target

Manchester United are reportedly ready to pay whatever Real Madrid ask for in order to seal the transfer of Gareth Bale, according to Spanish outlet Diario Gol.

The Wales international could be on his way out of the Bernabeu this summer, with United apparently keen to pounce on his availability despite already strengthening in attack last summer and this January.

Jose Mourinho brought in Romelu Lukaku from Everton before the start of the season, and raided rivals Arsenal for Alexis Sanchez in the middle of the campaign.

However, Bale could be another fine addition to his squad that has struggled to keep apace with rivals Manchester City this season as they look set to run away with the Premier League title.

Gareth Bale transfer remains on the agenda for Manchester United

Having helped Madrid to three Champions League titles and La Liga during his time in Spain, Bale could be just what United need to go that step further and win major honours again.

Diario Gol claim United could pay big for the 28-year-old, who was recently linked by Don Balon as an £88million transfer target for Liverpool.

The Reds lost Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona last month and Bale could be an ideal replacement, though it now seems United are in the running as well.

Diario Gol add that the former Tottenham winger could also move to Old Trafford as part of any deal involving goalkeeper David de Gea.
