What Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho talked about in heated exchange in Man Utd loss

Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho and midfield ace Paul Pogba were seen having quite a heated exchange in midweek, and the former has now revealed all.

It was a miserable night in general for the Red Devils on Wednesday as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham at Wembley.

Pogba didn’t have a particularly great night, as after the exchange seen below with Mourinho, he was hauled off in the 63rd minute and will be forced to now analyse a disappointing outing.

As expected though, Mourinho has now cleared up the matter by insisting that he was merely discussing tactics with the French international in order to overcome their struggles against Spurs.

“In the first-half, with some injury, he came to me and came with a couple of questions I answered,” Mourinho explained, as quoted by The Daily Star. “In the second-half I decided to make a change and bring Fellaini with different qualities than him. It was just a tactical decision but I lost Fellaini too after a few minutes.

“He [Pogba] is a young player, below 25, of course he has some things to improve. But it is not Paul, it is every player.”

Ultimately, the Portuguese tactician was simply making a change that he felt would give his side a better chance of getting back into the game having fallen behind after just 11 seconds.

It didn’t work out on this occasion as Fellaini came off injured just minutes after coming on, but both Mourinho and Pogba along with the rest of the Man Utd squad will undoubtedly be desperate to put things right against Huddersfield Town on Saturday to get back to winning ways.

It seems as though while it may have looked like something more, it was simply a manager talking to his player and trying to help him improve with some tactical guidance.
