Real Madrid president Florentino Perez opens informal talks with Chelsea target

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has reportedly lined up Juventus manager Massimilano Allegri as a potential replacement for the struggling Zinedine Zidane.

According to Don Balon, informal contacts have been made for Los Blancos to poach the Italian tactician from Juve as things seem to go a little sour for him too at his current club.

Allegri has certainly impressed during his time in Turin, adding three Serie A titles to his list of honours after also winning one at AC Milan, whilst also guiding Juventus to two Champions League finals, though both ended in defeat.

Still, it’s clear he could have big offers if he were to leave Juve any time soon, with Chelsea also said to be among his admirers as they weigh up the future of Antonio Conte, according to a recent report from the Daily Mail.

Real look in need of freshening up after some poor results this season leave them well behind Barcelona in the race for La Liga, with Zidane seemingly unable to get the best out of this squad of world class players.

The Frenchman started well at the Bernabeu with two Champions League wins in his first two seasons, but Allegri could be a necessary upgrade for the club to move forward.
