Real Madrid step up audacious three-man PL raid to rebuild with Man Utd, Chelsea stars on radar

Real Madrid have struggled to live up to their usual lofty expectations this season, and reports would suggest president Florentino Perez is ready to act.

Los Blancos find themselves 19 points adrift of rivals Barcelona in the La Liga table, as they currently sit in fourth place with just 11 wins from their 21 league games.

On top of that, they’ve already crashed out of the Copa del Rey while they didn’t convince in the Champions League group stage having finished second behind Tottenham.

With Ronaldo turning 33 on Monday, coupled with Karim Benzema’s underwhelming goalscoring record of just six goals in 24 appearances so far this season, long-term changes in the final third are arguably top of the agenda.

According to Don Balon, as re-reported by The Express, Perez wants to sign three marquee names in Eden Hazard, Harry Kane and David De Gea this summer, and it’s touted even before the World Cup.

Naturally, the first two will address the issue put forward above, while Keylor Navas seemingly doesn’t have the faith of the club moving forward if De Gea is being eyed too.

With Barcelona moving ahead this season coupled with their transfer strategy of buying players with a long-term future still ahead of them with Philippe Coutinho 25, and Yerry Mina, 23, joining in January, Madrid have to start taking a similar approach.

That is why Kane, Hazard and De Gea would fit the bill too, as while they’re all established players, they’ve still got plenty of years left in them to lead a new era at Real Madrid if the Spanish giants can pull off what is undoubtedly an optimistic transfer window campaign.

With 130 goals in 197 games for Tottenham, Kane would certainly add goals to the side and arguably should be the priority. Given his importance to Spurs though, and similarly with Hazard and De Gea to Chelsea and Man Utd respectively, it will surely be a hugely difficult to prise any of them away.
