It was a thriller at Anfield on Sunday between Liverpool and Tottenham, but given some of the refereeing decisions, there was also plenty of controversy.

Sky Sports had much to talk to former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher about on Monday, as there were a number of incidents that created talking points, including Jon Moss awarding the visitors two penalties.

Both were given, and while Harry Kane missed the first one, he stepped up in injury time to slot home the second in front of the Kop end to secure a 2-2 draw for his side.

Liverpool fans were already furious with the decisions at the time, and naturally it was still a major talking point throughout Monday morning.

However, Spurs seemingly decided to stir the pot a little more by sharing the clip below, with Kane stating: “You can’t give me two tries”.

Unsurprisingly, this led to an angry response from Liverpool fans, as seen below, as they were far from impressed. Kane himself won one of the penalties after going down from a challenge from Loris Karius, while Erik Lamela was adjudged to have been fouled by Virgil van Dijk for the second.

Both came with accusations of dives, which is encompassed in the comments below, but ultimately the penalties were given and Tottenham eventually took their chances. It doesn’t mean the Reds faithful below are any more accepting of it…
