‘Huge coup’ – Respected agent drops major hint on Liverpool done deal

Italian agent Federico Pastorello has seemingly suggested that Juventus will secure the signing of Liverpool midfielder Emre Can this summer.

The German international will see his current contract with the Reds expire at the end of the season, at which point they risk losing him for nothing.

Given his prominent role under Jurgen Klopp and the improvements that he’s made with Liverpool, it will be a disappointment for many to see Can leave, and Pastorello has dropped the biggest hint yet that it could be a done deal.

“Emre Can is a huge coup, even more so because he’ll arrive on a free transfer. Marotta and Paratici have done very well,” he told Tuttosport, as reported by Premium Sport.

“Juventus are a club that attract champions, and important signals are coming from the German.”

The Italian agent looks after the likes of Antonio Candreva, Giuseppe Rossi, Patrice Evra and Nani, and so is heavily involved in Serie A matters. It would seem as though he’s heard something to suggest that Can’s future is already decided.

The 24-year-old joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014, and has gone on to make 159 appearances for the club.

Can has featured 40 or more times in each campaign on Merseyside, and so he will leave a big void that has to be filled. Further, at just 24 years of age, he still has plenty of development in his game to get better, and that will also be a blow for Klopp not to keep him and see him fulfil all of his potential.
