£70m star increasingly tempted to clinch Manchester United transfer

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos is reportedly warming to the idea of sealing a transfer to Manchester United this summer following links with the club.

The Germany international is one of the best players in the world in his position and makes sense as a signing for United right now due to their issues in midfield.

The Red Devils bid farewell to Michael Carrick as he retired from playing this summer, and though they have brought in Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk, they could still perhaps do with more options.

According to Don Balon, Kroos is a target of theirs and the player himself is keen on a new challenge in the Premier League and seems tempted to link up with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

The Spanish outlet claims this has his team-mate Luka Modric worried as rumours also fly about about Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the Bernabeu for Juventus.

To lose two players of that calibre in one summer would undoubtedly be a huge blow for Madrid, who also had to change manager after the incredibly successful Zinedine Zidane stepped down after winning a third Champions League final in a row.

Don Balon have previously linked Kroos as a £70million target for United.
