Manchester United being pushed towards beating Juventus to €150m Cristiano Ronaldo transfer

Manchester United’s sponsors Chevrolet are reportedly pushing for the club to pay up and beat Juventus to the transfer of Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portugal international is one of the best players in the world, and also the most marketable, which is largely behind this push from Chevrolet, according to Don Balon.

Ronaldo would undoubtedly make a superb purchase for United given their current issues in attack, with Alexis Sanchez struggling since joining from Arsenal in January and with Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford still young and inconsistent.

Don Balon states Real Madrid’s asking price for Ronaldo is €150million, which would be more than United actually sold the 33-year-old for earlier in his career.

Could Manchester United still seal the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo?

That, however, is the state of the current market, with Ronaldo still one of the best players in the world and that kind of money is increasingly required to get many of the best to move to big clubs.
