England vs Belgium lineups confirmed: Southgate makes 5 changes and Martinez names strong XI

England and Belgium will contest in the World Cup 2018 third place playoff shortly.

The Three Lions saw their hopes of a second finals appearance end in heartbreak when they lost to Croatia.

Kieran Trippier gave them the lead, however, they conceded a goal in the final 20 minutes and again in extra-time as Croatia’s dominance in the middle of the park began to tell.

Luka Modric’s side will now take on France after they beat Belgium in the other semi-final, courtesy of a headed goal from Samuel Umtiti.

The match takes place in Saint Petersburg in the penultimate fixture of the tournament and manager Gareth Southgate has made five changes to his side.

As per The Telegraph, Kieran Trippier was a injury doubt after he came off in extra-time, however he is fit to start.

Eric Dier, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Phil Jones, Danny Rose and Gary Cahill all come into the starting XI.

The game will also see Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku battle it out for the Golden Boot.

Roberto Martinez has named a strong XI which includes star trio: Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard.
