Liverpool target Domagoj Vida has also attracted interest from Spanish club Sevilla after his performances at the World Cup in Russia.

Vida was one of Croatia’s standout performers during their run to the World Cup final this summer and following the tournament was identified as a potential signing for Liverpool, according to Fanatik.

The 29-year-old currently plies his trade in Turkey with Besiktas, having joined the club in the January transfer window from Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kiev.

Fanatik reports that Sevilla could now enter the race for the defender’s signature as they seek to reinforce their back-line ahead of the new La Liga season.

However, the Croatian may still favour a move to Anfield given the fact that his international teammate Dejan Lovren currently plays in the heart of Liverpool’s defence. The fellow countrymen played side by side to great effect in Russia which could end up influencing his final decision.
