Chelsea have been approached by Atletico Madrid over a loan move for Olivier Giroud, though they’re keen to sell the striker in a permanent transfer.
This is one of many rumours at the moment about possible departures from Chelsea in what threatens to be a big overhaul at Stamford Bridge after a difficult season.

Giroud only joined Chelsea from Arsenal in January and started reasonably well, though Sky Sports claim the Blues are now looking to sell him to Atletico Madrid.
The Spanish giants want a new centre-forward this summer and are looking at Giroud as an alternative to Nikola Kalinic.
The France international is a reliable target man who has just won the World Cup with his country, showing his qualities as a battler up top and as a link-up man despite not scoring at the tournament in Russia.
Giroud seems an ideal fit for Atletico’s style of play under Diego Simeone, but CFC may want to be careful about potentially letting another big name go to La Liga.
Sky Sports also link Willian as a target for Barcelona, while Eden Hazard continues to be linked with Real Madrid by the Daily Mirror.
