Arsenal and Chelsea have been handed a boost, after it was reported that Leon Bailey is looking to force a move away from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen this summer.

This is according to the Sun, who are stating that the winger is eager to secure a move away from Germany, and that his agent is set to begin talks with possibly buyers next week.

The same report also states that Bayer may not be able to turn down a £40M offer for the player, implying that this is roughly what they value him at.

This news regarding Bailey will be music to the ears of Arsenal and Chelsea

The Daily Star also note that a battle for Bailey’s signature is set to be held between Chelsea and Arsenal, implying that both the London clubs are keen on signing the winger this summer.

Bailey would be a quality signing for either side this summer, with the Jamaican wide-man impressing massively during his time with Bayer Leverkusen last season.

The 20-year-old managed to clock up a total of nine goals and six assists in 30 Bundesliga appearances last season, a great record when you consider the player is always deployed out wide.

The player’s lightning-quick pace and fantastic dribbling ability with the ball saw some label him as one of the most dangerous players in the whole of the Bundesliga last season.

Bailey would make a great addition to either the Blues or the Gunners this season, with both clubs hoping to get one over the other by landing a deal for the winger this summer.
