With Unai Emery now in charge at the Emirates, it seems like Arsenal have pulled out all the stops to give the Spaniard the best squad possible in his first season in charge.

With the Gunners having signed stars like Lucas Torreira and Bernd Leno, the north London side’s squad is looking in great shape ahead of their season opener against Man City this weekend.

And now, it seems like the club are ready to spend ever more cash to add another quality star to Emery’s squad, as Mundo Deportivo are reporting that the Gunners are ready to fork out a total of £89M (€100M) to bring Ousmane Dembele in from Barcelona.

The report states that the deal would see Dembele join the club for a year on loan for a fee of around £9M (€10M), with the club able to make the player’s move permanent for another £80M (€90M).

Dembele would be a great signing for Arsenal should they end up snagging a deal for the player, as the winger has proven time and time again over his short career that he’s going to be capable of truly great things in the future.

The 20-year-old, who was part of France’s World Cup-winning squad this summer, struggled somewhat at the Nou Camp last season following his move from Borussia Dortmund, however this is mainly down to the injuries the player sustained.

The Frenchman’s fantastic ability on and off the ball, as well as his lightning-quick pace, would see him fit in well at Arsenal, and landing his signature would be a real coup for the Gunners.

Now, all that remains is to see whether Barca are willing to let one of their most prized assets leave the club this summer.
