Arsenal bagging a move for Sevilla and France star Steven N’Zonzi could see Spurs be raided by Roma for Kenyan international Victor Wanyama.

According to the Sun, various reports in Italy state that the Italian giants are keen on brining in the Spurs midfielder this summer, and that N’Zonzi is their first choice midfield target, with Wanyama being their back-up option.

The Sun have stated previously that Arsenal are eyeing up a deal for N’Zonzi, who has a £30M release clause in his deal.

This means that, should the Gunners land the Frenchman this summer, Roma could turn their attentions to Spurs ace Wanyama as their plan B option.

Arsenal signing N’Zonzi could see Roma make their move for Spurs star Wanyama

Spurs losing Wanyama would be a big blow for the north London side, as the Kenyan has proven to be a key part of their side since his move from Southampton in the summer of 2016.

The former Saints star made 36 league appearances in his first season at White Hart Lane, as he helped the club secure a second-placed finish in the Premier League.

Last season, the midfielder’s campaign was plagued with injury, as he only ended up making a total of 18 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who still managed to secure third in the league without him.

Losing Wanyama would be a big blow for Spurs, especially considering there’s only a few days left in the transfer window.

Let’s just hope Arsenal don’t end up signing N’Zonzi, for their sake!
