Medical underway: Man United set to miss out on £40M target as star closes in on Premier League transfer

With Man United already not having the best transfer window in the club’s history, it seems as if their summer is about to get a little bit worse.

Having only signed three players ahead of the new season, it’s looking very likely that the Red Devils are set to miss out on one of their targets to Premier League rivals Everton.

According to the Sun, Jose Mourinho’s side are interest in signing Barcelona defender Yerry Mina, however the Colombian is currently undergoing a medical with Everton along with teammate Andre Gomes.

The report also notes that the Toffees are yet to agree terms with Mina, and that he is set to join on a transfer, whilst Gomes will be joining on loan.

Mina is closing in on a move that will deal another blow to United’s transfer attempts

Mina, who Barcelona are said to want at least £40M (€45M) for as per Mundo Deportivo, is set to be a great signing for Everton, and we’re sure United won’t be very happy to miss out on his signature.

The Colombian impressed massively for Colombia at the World Cup in Russia this summer, as he bagged three goals to help his side reach the round of 16.

United are looking quite weak at the back going into this season, with stars like Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof failing to prove they’re capable of consistently performing for the Red Devils.

With there being just a few hours of the transfer window left, it seems like United are going to go into this season with a fair few holes in their squad, something we’re sure their fans won’t be very pleased about.
