Chelsea savagely trolled by leading broadcaster after player exit

Chelsea have been brutally trolled by BT Sport Score on Twitter after Michy Batshuayi’s loan move from the Blues to Valencia was confirmed earlier today.

The Belgium international had not been much of a regular in his time at Stamford Bridge, and also spent the second half of last season at Borussia Dortmund in a temporary deal.

Batshuayi has now left Chelsea again to spend the season with La Liga outfit Valencia, with BT Sport Score noting that it’s actually an upgrade for the 24-year-old in terms of the level of football he’ll be playing this season.

Having finished fifth in the Premier League last season, Chelsea are only competing in the Europa League this term, which will no doubt be a disappointment of many at the club.

Batshuayi, meanwhile, will now enjoy Champions League football with Valencia after sealing this loan switch.

This certainly feels somewhat ironic, with Chelsea clearly not considering Batshuayi good enough to start up front for them while a Champions League club finds space for him.

CFC fans weren’t too happy with the deal earlier, which is little surprise given they now have just Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud as senior strikers to choose from, along with youngster Tammy Abraham.

Given Chelsea’s record of letting talented players go without giving them much of a chance – see Mohamed Salah, Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku – perhaps some supporters are nervy about Batshuayi going the same way.

Where will Chelsea finish this season?
