Premier League referee Bobby Madley quit his post today and the video below highlights exactly why he will be sorely missed for the rest of the 2018-19 season.

The 32-year-old official has worked in the Football League for the past 8 years and regularly in the Premier League for the past 5, eventually earning a big promotion to the FIFA referee’s list in 2016.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Madley resigned from his position today, citing changes in his ‘personal circumstances’ as the reason behind his departure. An official statement issued by the Professional Game Match Officials read: “Bobby Madley is no longer employed by PGMOL. We understand that he has decided to relocate due to a change in his personal circumstances.”
