Chelsea, Man Utd alerted to potential Arsenal raid as Gunners risk repeat scenario

Arsenal are reportedly risking more concern over Aaron Ramsey’s future at the club with Chelsea and Man Utd paired with a potential swoop next summer.

The 27-year-old has been with the Gunners since 2008 and has gone on to make 331 appearances while winning three FA Cups during his time at the Emirates.

However, with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season, concern has been raised over Ramsey’s future with Arsenal as there has yet to be any real suggestion that he’s close to agreeing on a renewal.

According to The Sun, that concern is still very much a problem with no progress being made as per the report, as Chelsea and Man Utd are specifically mentioned as being keen on the idea of snapping up the Welshman moving forward.

It’s not a new situation for Arsenal to be in which is arguably what will infuriate some of their supporters. As seen with ex-talisman Alexis Sanchez in January, after an inability to agree on new terms, the Chilean international moved to United while Henrikh Mkhitaryan headed in the opposite direction in a direct swap.

Further, it was only until the second half of the season when Mesut Ozil committed his future after being in a similar situation while Jack Wilshere left on a free, and so now it appears as though Arsenal could be heading in the same direction with Ramsey if no deal is reached.

Chelsea and Man Utd will seemingly be monitoring the situation carefully if Arsenal are unable to reach an agreement in the coming months. From January onwards, they’ll be able to speak to the Welshman and could reportedly try to convince him to leave north London when his contract expires next summer.
