Video: Arsenal ace trolls himself with new position amid goalscoring drought

Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has poked fun at himself in training as his wait for a goal this season continues.

The 29-year-old has featured in all three Premier League games so far this campaign, but he’s been unable to find the back of the net for his new boss Unai Emery.

His barren run included some horrendous misses against Chelsea which he should have buried, but based on his tweet below, it looks as though he’s staying positive and isn’t letting his lack of goals get him down.

In fact, he’s even trolling himself as he’s been snapped trying out as a goalkeeper in Arsenal training, and has jokingly suggested that he’s found himself a “new job”.

Jokes aside though, Arsenal have lost two of their opening three Premier League games under Emery, and so they’ll be desperate for Aubameyang to find his goalscoring boots sooner rather than later to spearhead their attack and fire them up the table.

With games against Cardiff, Newcastle, Everton, Watford and Fulham next up, they’ll surely be confident that their record signing will eventually rediscover his best form and not have to consider a future as a goalkeeper with the likes of Bernd Leno and Petr Cech looking over their shoulders…
