Chelsea star confirms Callum Hudson-Odoi Bayern Munich talks, sends message to wonderkid over transfer

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has confirmed he’s spoken with youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi about a potential transfer to Bayern Munich.

The Germany international says the two had a general chat about life in Germany, and seemed to admit he could understand the player being tempted due to Bayern being a big club.

Rudiger, however, did also express his desire to see Hudson-Odoi remain at Stamford Bridge, though he wished him the best if he were to move on.

‘He asked me about Germany. It was a general question from him. He is still young, I can advise him, but at the end of the day he decides about his future,’ Rudiger told the Evening Standard.

‘You can see it from both sides. He can develop here but he can develop in Germany as well — and don’t forget Bayern Munich are also a big club.

‘For his future, I wish him all the best but I just wish he stays with us.’

Chelsea fans will no doubt be upset at all this talk of Hudson-Odoi leaving after some recent performances in the Blues first-team that show his immense potential.

And the fact that a European elite club like Bayern are chasing the 18-year-old despite his inexperience just shows how highly he must be rated.

As reported by ESPN in the tweet below, the Bundesliga giants have offered as much as £35million for the England youth international, which would be a record fee paid for an English teenager.
