Real Madrid quoted asking price of £134million to seal transfer of Premier League star

Real Madrid would reportedly have to pay as much as £134million to Tottenham to seal the transfer of attacking midfielder Dele Alli.

The Spanish giants are keen to bring in a long-term replacement for Luka Modric in midfield, with Alli one of the players emerging as a top target, according to Don Balon.

The England international is one of the finest players in Europe in his position, and though he doesn’t play precisely the same kind of role as Modric, he has shone in a deeper midfield position in the past.

Still, Don Balon claim he’d be very expensive at £134m, which could make a deal tricky.

Spurs have often been seen as a bit of a selling club in the past, and of course lost both Modric and Gareth Bale to Madrid in the last decade.

However, they have held on to big names like Alli, Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen in recent times, suggesting they’re no longer such pushovers.

It remains to be seen if their stance on Alli now can help them keep hold of the talented 22-year-old.
