Manchester United and Chelsea look to have been handed a significant transfer boost as Isco is reportedly heading towards the Real Madrid exit door this summer.

According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Isco has decided his future lies away from the Bernabeu, while his club are also of the view that it would be the best decision to let him go.

The Spain international has not had the best season for Madrid, despite previously showing himself to be potentially one of the best creative midfield players in Europe.

This latest Don Balon piece lists Man Utd and Chelsea as being among the three main contenders to sign Isco, along with Paris Saint-Germain.

A previous Don Balon report has stated Real would ask for around £105million for the 26-year-old.

That seems a bit much for a player currently struggling to hit peak form, but both United and Chelsea could really benefit from Isco’s signing if he were to join and get back to his best.

MUFC need a playmaker as a long-term replacement for Juan Mata, while Chelsea could do with his addition following Cesc Fabregas’ move to Monaco in the summer.
