£92million star offered transfer to Liverpool amid Chelsea & Man United links

Barcelona have reportedly offered Philippe Coutinho a transfer back to Liverpool despite Chelsea and Manchester United also being linked with the Brazil international.

Coutinho only left Liverpool for Barcelona last January, but could now be set for a quick return to the Premier League after struggling at the Nou Camp.

According to Don Balon, the 26-year-old has been offered a return to the Reds if they pay around £92million for him – significantly less than they sold him for a year ago.

However, Don Balon suggest Liverpool are not currently interested in re-signing Coutinho, which could be good news for Chelsea and Man Utd.

A report from the Daily Express earlier today has linked both clubs with an interest in the South American, stating the Blues have been in contact to ask for updates about his situation.

Philippe Coutinho to leave Barcelona for a transfer back to the Premier League?

That report comes as Marca also strongly link Eden Hazard with a move away from Chelsea to Real Madrid, and Coutinho could be an ideal like-for-like replacement.

Coutinho could also do a job at United as an upgrade on the struggling Alexis Sanchez, but Liverpool fans may be a tad disappointed at Don Balon’s report that Jurgen Klopp doesn’t seem prepared to bring the player back.

Still, with so many other quality options in that LFC attack, it makes sense that splashing out £92m on Coutinho might not be a big priority right now.
