Frenchman finds it easy to score

Congratulations to Thierry Henry, who marked his return from six weeks out with a groin injury by scoring both Arsenal’s goals in the Champions League win against Sparta Prague, and breaking Ian Wright’s club scoring record of 185 goals in the process.

The Frenchman said, ‘It sounds great to hear ‘Thierry Henry, record goalscorer for Arsenal’. Their fans didn’t realise why I was celebrating like that – I was trying to draw the number 186 in the air.’

‘Wrighty was a great player and will always be a legend at Arsenal. To beat his record is tremendous. I wanted to do it at Highbury but if I get the chance to score, then I will take it.

The striker’s return to form should see Arsenal begin to do better than losing to the likes of West Brom, they’ve looked distinctly average without him and Wenger should sleep better tonight. But it wasn’t all smiles for the London club, however, as Henry only came on to replace the injured Jose Antonio Reyes – who joins the ever-growing list of injured Arsenal players.
