Memphis Depay admits he’s flopped at Man United so far this season

Manchester United forward Memphis Depay has admitted that he has failed to deliver at the club since joining over the summer, but also believes he has what it takes to reverse his fortunes, the Metro reports.

The Dutchman arrived in the summer transfer window from PSV Eindhoven in a deal worth £25million, rejecting the advances of the likes of Liverpool and Paris Saint Germain in the process.

And though he enjoyed a bright start to the campaign, his form has taken a dip as the season has developed and he has often struggled in the Premier League.

But he is aware that his form has not been good enough, and has vowed to turn his fortunes around and prove his doubters wrong.

“No. Not yet. I know that. I will continue to fight for it,” he said when asked if he’d lived up to expectations.

“I have a lot of expectations on myself. That’s important. The club is busy and I am busy to improve it.

“I don’t want to put a date on it or say when [I will meet expectations] but it will come. Confidence will help and experience. You learn from your mistakes.”
