Kolo Toure’s injury sustained against Benin while playing for Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations as reported by Sky Sports is certain to flare up the country-versus-club row once more. The 26-year old was stretchered off the pitch just before half time after injuring his groin and his injury is now being monitored.
Arsenal are obviously worried about their most important component in the backline. Arsene Wenger has expressed concern about the extent of the layoff that Toure faces.
So far there is no report on the extent of Toure’s injury. But the injury did look back on TV screen and maybe Wenger would have to do without Toure for a few more weeks.
