‘Chelsea manager should have had more time’ claims midfielder: Do you agree?

by stresster on February 10th, 2009 6 comments

It appears that Roman Abramovich was unsurprisingly behind the decision to sack Phil Scolari on Monday afternoon, with speculation now gathering pace as to who should replace the Brazilian at Stamford Bridge. Clearly the sacking came as a shock to several of the Chelsea players, one of who has told the press that the manager deserved more time at the helm. [Read the rest of this entry »]

‘Brazilian move to Manchester City all about the money’ claims Chelsea midfielder: Say it ain’t so!

by stresster on September 8th, 2008 5 comments

There are some cracking Premier League matches in store this weekend but, for once, it appears that Liverpool v Man United is being somewhat overshadowed by a fixture taking place a few miles away on Saturday. Chelsea loser ‘tickled’ by Manchester United manager’s comments

by stresster on July 26th, 2008 9 comments

Nobody can deny that this guy is a class act in the middle of the park, although he must have been born under a bad sign after finishing runner-up in every competition last season, apart from the FA Cup final (his team were beaten by Barnsley in that competition). Nevertheless, the German is determined that the Blues put this right next season, laughing off a certain Scotsman’s claims that his team are too old to win the Premier League. Chelsea head Inter off at the pass where their star midfielder is concerned

by stresster on July 22nd, 2008 no comments

Despite the acquisition of Deco this summer, there’s nothing quite like having players who are tried and tested in the Premier League. Frank Lampard certainly falls into that bracket and, despite attracting criticism for his England performances over the past few seasons, the midfielder has generally been a revelation for the Blues, playing an integral part in their silverware success.
