This weekend was a bad one for potentially career ending tackles with Ryan Shawcross’s foul on Aaron Ramsey getting top billing but this image below shows that over in Germany they are not against pulling off karate kick moves on opponents. For the record, and it may or may not be relevant to anyone. This footballing assault took place in Bundesliga 2, when Koblenz keeper Dieter Paucken decided to get up close and personal with Augsburgs striker Michael Thurk who may well have a career as the lead in The Phantom of the Opera after this frighteningly violent attack.

Thanks to Dirty Tackle for this one. This footballer attempting to stop the ball from going out of play, clearly has some vendetta against old clunky machinery. Perhaps his parents were murdered by a Betamax or maybe he was attacked by a Sodastream when he was a kid, either way he attempts to stop the ball from going over the line then skids into a very old Camera which then lands on him in a manner that must surely have hurt. Apologies for the relatively poor picture perhaps as a sign of solidarity a fellow camera refused to operate too well in show of compassion for his kin.
