There is yet another New Maradona on the block and this time Chelsea have raced ahead of the others in signing the player. FansFC has reported that the Blues have signed Franco Di Santo from Audax Italiano on a four-and-a-half contract for an undisclosed fee.
Di Santo is a Argentine U20 international and is rated highly by the Argentine press. Well, that is not quite unusual really. Argentine scribes have this penchant of labeling every promising Argentine players as the natural successor of the great Diego but before long, those pplayes are discerned to be not half as good.
Well, this isn’t to suggest that the 6ft 4in striker is not good but Chelsea fans shouldn’t believe that they have El Diego II in their squad.
