Newcastle United Misfit Joey Barton Punches Morten Gamst Pedersen (Video)

by Mad Dog and Glory on November 11th, 2010 10 comments

This is quite disgraceful. It had seemed that Newcastle United midfielder Joey Barton had calmed things down and was less volatile than previously, but that appears to not be the case. You see from the video below that Morten Gamst Pedersen accidentally barges the St James’ Park player and the Norwegian even holds his hands up to apologise but Barton still hits him full force in the chest. Surely the England hopeful will get some sort of ban for this shocking behaviour.

Norway 4-0 Scotland World Cup Qualifier Highlights (Video)

by Mad Dog and Glory on August 13th, 2009 1 comment

George Burley’s side pressed the self destruct button in Oslo last night and as a result seriously jeopardised the chances of Scotland claiming the runners up spot in a group already won by Holland. Former Liverpool man John Arne Riise started the scoring with a deflected free kick and two goals from Blackburn Rovers winger Morten Gamst Pedersen, including a great free-kick added to the Scots woes. The Norwegian’s third goal came after a good mazy run from Aston Villa man John Carew and was finished off by Erik Huseklepp.
