Long-winded people are boring, and writing full sentences is for chumps. So instead you have just Six words. Sound easy? Good for you.

All hail King Harry! That’s what Tottenham supporters are probably saying after they thumped Dinamo Zagreb 4-0 in their UEFA Cup match at White Hart Lane. Darren Bent added two early goals for Spurs in the 30th and 33rd minute before securing his hat-trick in the 70th. Tom Huddleston added a fourth in the 59th for good measure. All in all the match was about as good as it gets. The quality was there, as was the determination and pride on the pitch.

But what do Tottenham supporters think of the match? [Read the rest of this entry »]

What do Manchester United supporters have to say about their Champions League draw to Celtic in SIX words!

by offsidetrap on November 5th, 2008 5 comments

Long-winded people are boring, and writing full sentences is for chumps. So instead you have just Six words. Sound easy? Good for you.

Manchester United can thank Ryan Giggs for saving their blushes once against at Celtic Park. The 1-1 draw against the Scottish club keeps Sir Alex’s squad even on point with Villarreal with two matches remaining. The club looked anemic at times today against a far inferior club as Celtic bossed the pitch for most of the match. Was this just a case of the club looking ahead to Saturday’s match against Arsenal, or is the club losing steam? What did you take away from the match? [Read the rest of this entry »]

Where would Liverpool be without Fernando Torres in SIX words!

by offsidetrap on August 20th, 2008 19 comments

Long-winded people are boring, and writing full sentences is for chumps. So instead you have just Six words. Sound easy? Good for you.

Liverpool supporters know where Fernando Torres currently stands on their list of current Kop idols – and for most that’s probably near the top of the list. After saving their blushes for the umpteenth time with an 83rd-minute laser goal against Sunderland, many have to be wondering just where Liverpool would be without their No.9. Would they still be a top-four contender? Or would they only just be scraping into the UEFA Cup? [Read the rest of this entry »]

Arsenal new boy Nasri or Spurs star Modric: Which newbie will make the biggest impact in SIX WORDS!

by offsidetrap on July 11th, 2008 66 comments

As Mr Comfort always says: Long-winded people are boring, and writing full sentences is for chumps. Instead of writing us a novel, tell us why Samir Nasri or Luka Modric is the better talent, you have just Six words to make your argument to the COS commentariat. Sound easy? Give it a go.

Arsenal and Tottenham have brought in two of the brightest talents in the world to help beef up their midfield ranks. With two new young guns coming into London at the same time, it got us thinking: who will have the biggest impact of the Premier League in their first season? Will it be the shifty Croat who makes Prem defenders look silly? Or will a young Frenchman take the headlines with his pace and power?

Who takes the cake as the new midfielder of the mountain? Be concise and let us know in Six words!
