Former Liverpool Boss Rafa Benitez to Appear on Britain’s Got Talent! (Humour)

by Mad Dog and Glory on June 5th, 2010 8 comments

So now its all done and dusted everyone can laugh about it? Well hopefully they can. The general consensus of opinion appears to be that Rafa felt he had no choice but to leave after being undermined once too often by the Anfield Americans who no one likes (with good reason).

However Studs Up have come up with a very amusing take on Rafa’s secret talent which he may now be able to divert more of his time to honing. CLICK HERE to see the comic in question.

The Gadget Arsenal and Tottenham Fans Can Not Do Without (Humour)

by Mad Dog and Glory on March 30th, 2010 6 comments

Now we all know just how much hate there is in the world. Its the fuel within us all and in relation to football clubs it is what keeps us going as human beings. Now both Emirates and White Hart Lane supporters would do well to avoid each other at all costs. Arsenal and Tottenham fans do not get on, thats a fact, so here is an ingenious invention that helps fans of both north London clubs avoid each other CLICK HERE.

This hilarious Studs Up sketch illustrates just how ones allegiance can shape any potential friendship. Being a supporter of a rival team may well, quite rightly, result in the instant dislike of a seemingly decent guy or girl. This is life, c’est la vie and all that.

It must irk Arsenal fans no end that their near neighbours are doing pretty damn well this season but then perhaps Gunners supporters like this ‘high’ that Spurs are on so that they can stick the metaphorical knives in if/when it all goes pear shaped. Similarly Tottenham fans are probably ecstatic that Arsene Wenger and his boys are experiencing something of a silverware drought and may even be harbouring hopes of eclipsing their arch rivals in the coming season.

If only such a device as the one depicted in this sketch could indeed be invented. It would be a product that would fly off the shelves. Imagine the ability to walk into any pub, or other location with large numbers of people, and instantly be able to point an electronic implement at a person and be told which football team they support. If the aforementioned tool could work at a distance you could simply point at people from a bus and have your suspicions confirmed.

Hell the damn thing could even tell you if that guy at work really doesn’t support any team at all! Yes, some people like that do exists, and yes I know, they are indeed freaks!

Arsenal Boss Has Ingenious Plan to Deal With Barcelona Wizard Leo Messi

by Mark Apostolou on March 23rd, 2010 32 comments

It seems that the Emirates manager has his work cut out curtailing the threat that Barcelona magician Leo Messi may pose for Arsenal in the Champions League Quarter Finals, but no matter as this excellent comic from Studs Up shows, there is more than one way to skin a cat. CLICK HERE to see the sketch.

There is no doubting that the north London side is experiencing something of a purple patch and that they should in no way be overawed by the prospect of going head to head with the current Champions League holders but there must still be a very real fear that unless they contain the impish Argentine they could find themselves in trouble.

Messi has scored an incredible 25 goals in 24 La Liga games and appears as slippery and impossible to handle as ever. It may take a bit of physical contact from the likes of Alex Song and Denilson to put the Barcelona man in his place and whilst the Gunners are not known for their bully boy tactics perhaps now is as good a time as ever to get stuck in. Obviously no one would condone anything bordering on footballing assault, perhaps just a case of going in full bloodied when putting in a good solid challenge.

Arsenal’s style of play is of course very suited to a European battle but maybe on this occasion Arsene Wenger should consider a good bit of English style rough and tumble to overcome the Catalan giants?

Latest Chelsea Scandal Could Wreck Premier League Title Hopes!

by Mad Dog and Glory on February 20th, 2010 2 comments

First there was John Terry’s affair with Vanessa Perroncel that threatened to derail Chelsea’s title aspirations, then Ashley Cole brought more shame on the Stamford Bridge outfit by ‘accidentally’ giving a friend his old mobile phone resplendent with naked pics of the Blues full back which were then sent to a glamour model (a likely story). Now this!

As Manchester United are downed by Everton, Chelsea easily overcame a toothless Wolves side to open up a commanding lead at the top of the Premier League, leading many to believe that only Chelsea can prevent Chelsea from failing to secure the title. Whether its a footballing calamity or some off field shenanigans it seems highly likely that Mr. Ancelotti is just the man to steer the Stamford Bridge ship to some top notch silverware.

Studs Up once again make us at COS chuckle and laugh in front of our computer screens like slightly scary freaky people. This latest sketch comes at a time when Carlo Ancelotti will be hoping that the west London side can focus solely on what happens on the pitch rather than anything savoury that may appear in the tabloids.

Arsenal and Tottenham Fans Worst Nightmare Comes True!

by Mad Dog and Glory on January 5th, 2010 9 comments

It’s a situation that the north London rivals probably wish will never happen to them. Fans of the Emirates and White Hart Lane variety will always fear that if/when they produce offspring they will decide their allegiance lies with the wrong side. Arsenal and Tottenham fans should never therefore breed together.

The guys at Studs Up in their usual hilarious manner deal with this potential relationship ending scenario and if you want to see the sketch CLICK HERE.

Liverpool Boss Lines Up New Job!

by Mad Dog and Glory on December 21st, 2009 9 comments

As usual Studs Up manages to poke fun at the beautiful game in a manner that is both amusing and well drawn. See how Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez may well seek gainful employment should his Anfield career indeed come to a screeching halt.

After a truly horrible start to the season Liverpool’s defeat at Portsmouth appeared to hammer yet another nail into a coffin already heavily laden with nails and even the staunchest Rafa supporter must be wondering just how bad things could get for the Spaniard and his top four chasing club.

Whilst many are right to point out that the Merseyside club ran Manchester United pretty damn close last term, Liverpool have gone from bad to worse and then to even worse and now find themselves in an embarrassing 8th place spot, behind Birmingham City!
