If, like Ronaldinho you will be sitting out the World Cup in South Africa or simply happen to be to be a Scotland supporter who isn’t even aware that there is tournament going on, then we have a multitude of other ways to occupy your time this summer.

But if its relaxation you’re after and you just want to immerse yourself in stunning surroundings while letting soothing sounds wash over you then what better than visiting the Hampton Court Festival that runs from 8-19 June. Headline acts include Jools Holland, Van Morrison and the gorgeous Katherine Jenkins (pictured) and tickets can be still be bought from only £46.

While all of us at CaughtOffside are self-confessed football addicts to the core, we do occasionally flick the channels on our flatscreen TV and have found ourselves quite enamoured by the Six Nations Championship.

Yes, they play with odd shaped balls and the players have all the footballing skills of a rhinoceros on Red Bull but international rugby is full of crunching tackles reminiscent of Michael Brown bearing a grudge and such searing pace that makes Aaron Lennon look like Michael Ballack.

Amazingly, with the final weekend of the Six Nations upon us, there are still tickets left for all three matches via our friends at tixdaq.com.

The pick of the bunch is ‘Le Crunch’ – France v England – at the Stade de France where les Bleus will be aiming to beat their old adversaries to claim the Grand Slam.
