Diving is a hot topic in the Premiership these days, with Cristiano Ronaldo’s part in Manchester United’s opening goal against Middlesbrough setting things off only for Wigan’s Paul Jewell to wonder publicly what all the fuss was about.
But remember, the English football leagues are already a relative bastion of fair play with leagues abroad featuring far more flopping and prancing to the point where it’s not even a point of discussion anymore. A fine example is below, not sure what league or what club this is but the next time you want to complain about someone going to ground easily under a challenge – remember that this is what real playacting is like, not that sissy “was there contact?” bollocks.
