Rafa Benitez is playing down the extent and number of fines handed out for the Liverpool karaoke shenanigans, with the Daily Mirror quoting 15 players punished for around 150,000 (or two weeks gambling/hooker money),
“I am not going to tell you what happened,” Benitez said.
“The problem is not as big as reported in the press, so there really haven’t been many players fined – not nearly as many as has been reported.
“After the problem, some were fined and they have been really good.
So that’s the end of this story, until after Liverpool play Barcelona at which point this whole ordeal will be brought up again.
