Latest Transfer Rumours: Ferdinand, Diouf, Foster and Gosling

The world of Premiership transfer rumours is full of nonsense, but some nonsense is more interesting that the other nonsense. Here’s our opinion on some of that more interesting nonsense… and if you have any thoughts, pop em in the comments.

Alan Curbishley wants Anton Ferdinand out of West Ham this summer.

CaughtOffside Says: By happy co-incidence we’ll bet Ferdinand will want out of West Ham too.

El Hadji Diouf won’t be going from Bolton to Atletico Madrid for £6 million, because Big Sam has priced him at £10 million.

CaughtOffside Says: Lyon it is then, as Gerrard Houllier happily he spent £10 million on Diouf back in 2002 to bring him to Liverpool. But jokes aside, Diouf may be playing the best football of his career at Bolton – but that just means he isn’t utter toss.

Watford’s on-loan and overworked keeper Ben Foster will return to Manchester United next season to challenge Edwin van der Sar for the keeper’s jersey.

CaughtOffside Says: He can join the long list of talented young keepers (Howard, Carroll, Kufxzjack, Foster) that Ferguson likes to have sit next to him while some old foreign bloke (Barthez, Van Der Sar..err … Taibi?) goes in goal.

Jose Mourinho is pushing through with a deal to bring teenager Dan Gosling from Plymouth to Chelsea.

CaughtOffside Says:That famed Chelsea youth policy in action again. Next step for Gosling? Sit with the youth team or reserves until he is 100%, without fail, ready for the first team or simply never be heard from ever again.
