CaughtOffside In Billion Pound Takeover!

Well, we wish…

As many of you have already noticed, CaughtOffside was recently acquired by web 2.0 sports startup Sportingo.com. Ironically, it mimics the Premiership trend of foreign investors that we are so fond of talking and speculating about.

But this deal is not about money (I have the same agent as Frank Lampard), I am actually taking over as Editor in Chief of Sportingo in addition to CaughtOffside. I’m very eager to make my mark there as soon as possible because they have a fantastic model with a lot of potential. There are big plans for both websites and, while it may take a few months to get properly integrated and start seeing significant positive changes, I think everyone will soon be as excited as I am.

Thanks for reading, writing, and commenting this past year and a half. CaughtOffside has gone from a hobby with a couple of blokes having a go at each other to an award-winning blog whose community of readers is as notorious as the website itself. With the 07/08 football season, we’ll continue to work on improving the site and expanding our content.
