Clubs Begin Dreaming About Chelsea’s Didier Drogba

The Times is reporting that Didier Drogba could be off to a new club sooner than expected with Lyon the first club to register their interest in Didsy-Widsy. Lyons president Jean-Michel Aulas described it as a “dream” to sign Drogba, who has already declared his intention to leave “broken” Chelsea. Aulas continued:

“Everything is possible in football, Didier Drogba is an exceptional footballer who loves France. We had an asset [to make him come] here, Florent Malouda, who was playing for us. Unfortunately, he has left for Chelsea. If we had to sign both of them, it is maybe beyond our means.”

Would Drogba, already rumoured to have started Italian lessons in preparation for a possible Italian reunion with his lover mentor Jose Mourinho, really leave for Lyon? Highly doubtful, Serie A or La Liga will be his next stop as Droggers has always banged on about a new challenge at the top level. Winning the French league for the 5815th time in a row with Lyon probably doesn’t qualify.
