Whilst picking through the wreckage of the limp 3-0 home defeat to Liverpool, Newcastle boss Big Sam Allardyce ended up asking the players if his tactics were any good, according to the Daily Mail. And the Mail’s Martin Hardy writes: “When they were asked if they disliked his methods, not one player responded.” – hardly a resounding roar of confidence.
The Daily Mail, utilizing its vast network of spies, reckons that there are several Newcastle players that are unhappy with Allardyce’s management and that Big Sam is so desperate to get things back on track (before games against Blackburn and Arsenal – ouch!) that he called an unscheduled training session in a bid to iron out any gripes.
