All of a sudden, Manchester City seem blessed with attacking options. Rolando Bianchi has scored in each of the past two matches, Vassell was also on Saturday’s scoresheet and now, it has emerged that Mexican Nery Castillo is joining the battle for striking places in January.
However, as the weather gets colder, Bianchi has clearly started warming to life in Manchester and he’s made his intentions very clear in the Manchester Evening News.
“I am very happy at City, I do not want to leave, I see a future for me here,” he said after taking his tally for the campaign to four goals. “Getting into the side and staying there is a challenge for me and I want to win that challenge.
“I speak with the manager regularly but not about leaving. It was important for my confidence that I was able to come on at Spurs and score and then start the game against Bolton.
“It was wonderful to share the goal with City fans who have backed me all the time I have been here and when I have been a bit down have been so instrumental in lifting me again. I think they love me and I love then back, they are fantastic.”
Will the love affair continue for seasons to come? Since scoring on the opening day of the season, the Italian has had to wait four months for his next league goal, although the signs are now there that he’s adapting to the Premier League. Bit of pace, lots of power and some good predatory instincts are on the menu if he can fully adapt.
A big part of Sven’s revolution?
