In the summer, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger described Robin van Persie as the new Henry and in the matches the Dutch international has featured in so far this season for the Londoners, he has been an important figure. But his injuries have cost Arsenal dear at times though now the Gunners can heave a sigh of relief and allow optimism to seep in. According to ESPNSoccernet, Van Persie will be back to full fitness at the end of next week.
The striker has been struggling with a muscular problem since October and hasn’t been able to start a single match in the last three months. He has been ruled out of Sunday’s FA Cup tie against Burnley but could even be in the starting line-up for the Premier League match against Birmingham City on January 12.
Robin van Persie is still injured and will not be involved. But it is very short for him now. The next deadline could be Birmingham or just after.
The return of Van Persie to full match fitness is certainly good news to all Gunners supporters and with Arsenal on a high both in England and in Europe, his contribution in the second half of the season could be crucial.
