Now this is one transfer speculation that you should be crackling your heads off. Mark Bresciano is one of the top Australian players playing in Europe at the moment and was one of the best players in the Italian Serie A last season for Palermo. According to Goal.com, he is a transfer target for the relegation bound Premiership side Fulham.
Just why would a player of Bresciano’s stature would go through all the trouble to struggle with a English Premier League club just one from bottom in the table is one for a wild guess. And if you are still scratching your head and thinking how could the player and Fulham be linked, then you are in good company. The player in question himself is confused.
This is what Bresciano has to say on the matter:
A move to Fulham? I’ve not even heard anything myself yet. I feel myself to be outside of the market The talk of a presumed interest in me from the part of Fulham in England and Fiorentina and Sampdoria in Italy is lacking any foundation. It’s good to know that many clubs would be interested in me but I don’t know anything myself.
Maybe Mark Bresciano could move to Craven Cottage in the summer? Well, you shouldn’t put your money on it. Bresciano wouldn’t like to plough it against Championship teams, would he?
