Manuel Fernandes seems to be haunted by Merseyside. No, not in a negative way but in a positive sense. The 21-year had a successful spell with Everton last season when he was on loan from the Portuguese giants Benfica and now he is returning to Goodison Park again a on-loan player, this time from the Spanish club Valencia.
Sky Sports has reported that Fernandes is flying back to England this week to complete the loan move. Fernandes shunned a permanent switch to Everton in the summer in favour of Valencia but has been unable to carve his way in at the Spanish side.
Fernandes has started just 5 games in La Liga this season and his future at the Mestalla does look bleak. Fernandes will be on loan to Everton till the end of the season with an option to make his deal permanent.
So will Manuel Fernandes be able to weave his magic once again at Goodison Park? He exhibited quality last season when playing in an Everton shirt but can the Toffees expect him to repeat his feat this time around too?
