Mark Hughes: No Toon job for me

One English Premier League manager is staying put on his job and that is the Blackburn Rovers manager Brian Hughes. He has told Sky Sports that he is in no mood to trade his managerial job at Ewood Park for a similar one Newcastle United.

Since the departure of Sam Allardyce from St. James’ Park this week, speculations have mounted on Hughes leaving his job at unglamorous Blackburn and talking up the reigns at Newcastle. Yet in an interview to Sky Sports, Hughes has sharply dismissed such speculations and has confirmed that he will remain the Blackburn boss come what may.

Mark Hughes told Sky Sports:

There’s always speculation when any big job comes up. I seem to be talked about in good terms and I’m appreciative of that but it’s just recognition of the work myself and my staff do here. Mark Hughes has pulled himself out of the Toon job. So is the Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp going to be the new manager of the Geordies?
