Sky Sports has reported that Manchester City are not eyeing the Ajax striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. Manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has told Sky Sports that although he did have a scout watching the player in action last weekend between a Dutch championship match between Ajax and AZ Alkmaar, he is not looking to add him to his side this January.
Eriksson is also coy on whom he wants to sign this January and throws up the possibility that he might not even sign anyone this month and would be only too glad to carry on with the squad that he has at the moment.
Yet it is no denial that Man City do require a little bit of reinforcement, especially in the frontline. City have won just 1 of their last 6 Premiership matches and have slipped from 4th to 7th in the table.
